COUGARS SIGN D-MAN STEWART
The Cobourg Cougars are pleased to announce today that the program has signed 2003-born defenceman Thomas Stewart to a Standard Player Agreement in advance of the 2020-2021 OJHL Season.
Stewart played for the Vaughan Kings of the GTHL this past season, posting 18 points (7 G, 11 A) in 32 games with their Midget (U18) team. In addition to his Midget season with the Kings, Stewart played in 13 regular-season games and 4 playoff games last season with the Pickering Panthers, notching 2 goals and being selected for the Affiliate Player (AP) Game at the OJHL All-Star festivities.
The 2019 8th Rd pick of the Barrie Colts (OHL) is a welcome addition on the back-end for the Cougars, having proved this season that he is ready to make the jump to Jr. A. We look forward to welcoming Thomas to Cobourg, and introducing him to our fans in Northumberland.
