Q: What is the single best thing about playing college hockey for your current CHE team?
A:
Honestly, I love the camaraderie we have with each other as teammates. No matter what we are doing, we almost always find a way to have fun and laugh with each other, whether it's on the ice during drills, grabbing food together between classes, or just relaxing. Yes, we have our struggles. But we're invested in each other's lives in a positive way; here to support one another and build each other up. When it's all said and done and our college careers are over, I think that bond is the one thing we will all remember and cherish.

Q: What is the most-memorable hockey game you have ever been involved in, at any level?
A: I would have to say our pre-season scrimmage this year with a women's junior team from North Carolina. Several of their players currently play in the NWHL, yet we did not know that prior to the game. And although the score didn't reflect a win that day, we walked away a winning team because we never quit during any point in that game, and I think that attitude will really make the difference in the games to come during our regular season.

Q: Are there any routines or rituals you must stick to before every game, such as listening to a certain song?
A:
My pre-game routine always starts with an early dinner, usually pasta, chicken, and a lot of veggies! After dinner, I take a quick nap, and before I head to the rink, I always take about 30 minutes to stretch and roll out while listening to my favorite music. At the end, I listen to inspirational sport speeches to help me get focused and ready to go.

Q: Which opposing CHE team do you really enjoy playing against, and why?
A: I personally enjoy playing against Delaware. The Blue Hens are usually one of the top teams in our league, so we can usually gauge where our team is in rankings by how well we play against them. I also love the challenge of taking on a strong team, knowing that we will have to work hard as a team to secure a win.

Q: If you were put in charge of the entire sport of hockey and could change just one thing about the game, what would it be?
A: If I had to pick one rule to change, I would probably adjust the size of the goalie gear. I know there have already been changes in the past, but I would make them even smaller.

Q: What made you choose to attend your current school?
A: I chose to attend Liberty because I wanted to attend a Christian university where I could be surrounded by students and professors who believed in the same things I did. Four years is a long time to be molded into the adult you will be for the rest of your life, and I wanted to be challenged to practice living out every area of my life for the Lord.

Q: What is your major and what do you want to do with it after graduation?
A: I am majoring in Family and Consumer Science with a Teaching License. If you're not quite sure what that is, just think back to any of the fun home economics classes you had in high school! After graduation, I would like to either pursue a masters degree or begin teaching foods and nutrition classes in a high school setting.

Q: What person outside of your family has done the most for you?
A: This is such a tough question, because as a college student, there are so many people who impact you in so many different ways. But one person in particular who has done a lot for me would have to be my resident assistant, Kelsey. She was my RA for three years, and I served with her on leadership for two. She taught me so much about what it means to really put others first, and she always had something wise to add to whatever I was going through in life. Kelsey was truly an example to me, and I will always be thankful for her friendship.

Q: Would you rather be Superman or Batman, and why?
A: I think I would rather be Superman, because I would never have to worry about travel dates or costs ever again.

Q: What are your two favorite apps on your smartphone, and why?
A: I really like the Facebook messenger app because it's so helpful to have to keep up with the team and friends, especially when I'm on the go. And I love the Spotify app, because it's so nice to have all of my favorite music right there whenever I need it.
