Athens, Ohio--Two years ago, Annabelle Herron graduated from the University of Charleston, South Carolina and began pursuing a post-graduate degree in physical therapy at Ohio University.

Herron, 23, packed her bags, said goodbye to the beautiful southern weather, and headed for Athens. She expected her future to be full of unknowns, like seeing snow in the wintertime, but she was eager nonetheless.

“I was happy to get out of the south and was extremely excited to come to Athens,” Herron said. “My future is up in the air, but I hope to figure that out while working with the Copperheads.”

Herron jumped at the opportunity to work with the Cheads because of the family atmosphere the organization promotes. That togetherness aspect made her excited to be a part of the Cheads family.

“I love the idea of everyone working together as a team, not just in sports, but in life too,” Herron said. “I have a tattoo of the Roman Numeral six, representing that I’m the youngest of six in my family, so that idea of team plays an important role in my life.”

Herron will face the challenge of tending to all Cheads injuries, calling baseball injuries the toughest to deal with, but she is ready to wrestle the tall task of keeping all the Cheads healthy all summer long.
