2011 Veitch Memorial Championship to Begin Tomorrow
The 2011 Veitch Memorial Championship gets underway tomorrow, Friday, April 1st, 2011, when the host Port aux Basques Mariners face the Exploits Home Hardware Central West Junior Hockey League Champions, the Central Cataracts. This game is a rematch of a close CWJHL Finals that saw the Cataracts skate away with a 4-2 series win. Game time is 7:30pm at the Bruce II Sports Centre.
Veitch action resumes on Saturday, April 2nd, 2011 at 1:00pm when the two junior hockey league champions face off. The Central Cataracts take on the St. John's Celtics. Later in the day, the host Mariners also face the Celtics. Game time for that tilt will be 7:30pm.
The Championship game for the rights to the 2011 Veitch Trophy is scheduled for 1:00pm on Sunday, April 3rd, 2011.
