Derby scored one in the first, then let Great Bend score four. Great Bend added one in the second. Derby rallied for two in the third to trail 5-3. Great Bend added one in the sixth. Derby got one in the seventh to trail 7-4, but Great Bend added three in the seventh to lead 10-4. Derby got one in the seventh and one in the eighth for the final 10-5 score.
The Twins only had four hits. Kirk Trahan tallied two RBI. Patrick Morris started for the Twins and went four innings allowing six runs with four Ks.
