Twins beat Cannons 5-3 to sweep second half series
Both teams were scoreless through the first three innings. Derby scored two in the fourth and two in the sixth to lead 4-0. The Cannons scored two in the sixth and one in the seventh to cut the lead to 4-3. Derby added an insurance run in the eighth for the final 5-3 score.
The Twins were led by Mitchell Birdsall and Tyler Otts with three hits. Richard Gutierrez and Tyler Otts had two RBI. Owen Reynolds went five innings allowing no hits with two Ks. Lance Elsen didn't record an out and allowed two runs on one hit. Luis Diaz went two innings allowing one run on one hit with three Ks. Alex Ronk went two innings allowing no hits with one K.
