Twins rally to beat Brigade 6-4 after two weather delays

Noah Allison drove in four runs on two hits to lead Derby Twins past Junction City Brigade 6-4 on Wednesday and Thursday. Noah Allison doubled in the ninth inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the first inning, scoring two.

 

Derby Twins didn't take the lead until later in the game. Derby Twins were down 4-3 in the top of the ninth inning when Noah Allison doubled, scoring three runs.

 

Derby Twins opened the scoring in the first after Noah Allison singled, scoring two runs.

 

Junction City Brigade tied the game in the bottom of the second thanks to a double play, and a ground out by Gannon White.

 

The game was delayed by rain and lightning for several hours. It was restarted about 1030.

 

A single by Garryn Plummer gave Junction City Brigade the lead, 3-2, in the bottom of the fourth.

 

Cade Sutherland hit a sacrifice fly, which helped Derby Twins tie the game at three in the top of the fifth.

 

The game was suspended by lightning after the fifth inning. It was resumed the next day about 1130.

 

A single by Kyler Horsman gave Junction City Brigade the lead, 4-3, in the bottom of the seventh.

 

Kai Fitak led things off on the hill for Derby Twins. The starter surrendered two hits and two runs over three innings, striking out none and walking four. Blake Seefeldt led things off on the mound for Junction City Brigade. The starting pitcher allowed five hits and two runs over three and one-third innings, striking out two and walking one. Teddy Judkins threw one inning of shutout ball for Derby Twins in relief. The right-handed pitcher allowed zero hits, striking out one and walking none. Karson Richard threw one inning allowing one run on two hits. Lucas Weaver went four innings allowing one run on five hits and got the win.

 

Derby Twins amassed nine hits in the game. Noah Allison, Kyle Walker, and Davin Brazzle each collected two hits for Derby Twins. Derby Twins turned one double play in the game.

 

Peyton Firgens and Chad Pantuso each collected two hits for Junction City Brigade. Kyler Horsman and Garryn Plummer each drove in one run for Junction City Brigade. Logan Myers stole two bases. Junction City Brigade ran wild on the base paths, piling up five stolen bases for the game. Junction City Brigade turned one double play in the game.
