The Captain visits the Blazers Sunday!
What a great day for the Blazers hockey club and the Skatezone Sunday, as Flyers Captain Claude Giroux stopped by to hold a skills clinic.
The 1st session was made up of Mites, Squirts and some PeeWee's from the Blazers, Generals & Sting. The 2nd session was the PeeWee's, Bantams & Midgets.
In between the two sessions, Chip presented Claude with a custom made Blazers Giroux jersey making for a great photo op. The jersey was then autographed by Giroux and will be displayed at the rink and possible used for a future club fundraiser. I know the kids got a tremendous kick out of being so close to an NHL star and getting a brief chance to say hello. A big thanks goes out to everyone who assisted in making this such a special event.
