LONGWOOD, Fla.- Throughout the 2022 season, the Florida Collegiate Summer League will honor two players at the conclusion of each week: one as the FCSL Player of the Week, and one as the FCSL Pitcher of the Week. This week's honors represent performances from Monday, June 13 to Saturday, June 18.

The second Florida League Player of the Week is Sanford's Jeff Liquori (Florida Southern). The reigning first team All-Florida Leagye selection is well on his way to his second FCSL All-Star Game appearance, as the Lake Mary native had a monster week in the second full week of the 2022 season. Liquori drove in eight runs on the week, including a two home run, five RBI effort against the DeLand Suns last Monday. He also went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and three runs scored in an 11-1 win over Winter Garden on Friday.

Through his first 12 games of the season, Liquori has belted four home runs and driven in 16 runs, and leads the Florida League in both categories. He has reached safely in all but two of his games to start the season, and has five multi-hit games and four games with multiple RBIs for the River Rats.

In the second week of the season, the Florida League Pitcher of the Week is Najer Victor (FGCU) of the Leesburg Lightning. Victor got the ball Friday night at Pat Thomas Stadium, and completely controlled the DeLand Suns. The Clermont native did not allow a hit in his six innings on the mound, striking out seven and surrendering just one unearned run. The Lightning would go on to win the game in walk-off fashion, 4-3.

Friday's start was the longest of the season for Victor, who currently has a 1.25 earned run average over his 14.1 innings of work. The FGCU Eagle has allowed just eight hits and three walks during his time on the mound, all while striking out 17. Opposing hitters have posted a .154 batting average against him, and his WHIP sits at a miniscule 0.77.

Additionally, each week, the Florida League will also honor one player from each team that was not selected as the League Player or Pitcher of the Week.
