Meet the 2025 Winter Park Diamond Dawgs

The 2025 Winter Park Diamond Dawgs season gets underway in just a couple days as they prepare to take on the DeLand Suns on Friday, May 30. Their first two games will take place at the Diamond Dawgs home stadium, Alfond Stadium, located on the campus of Rollins College.

 

Now, it is time to meet the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs for the 2025 summer!

 

Gabe Young: Young is a six-foot sophomore outfielder from Jacksonville State. He is originally from Mountain Brook, Alabama, and it is his first season in the Florida League. During the 2025 collegiate season, Young played in 10 games for Jax State, recorded two hits and four walks. His 2024 season saw a significant increase in game action, as Young started 40 games and earned a spot on the Conference USA All-Newcomer Team. He hit nine extra-base hits and earned 22 walks over 112 at-bats in 2024. 

 

Eric Entrekin: Infielder Eric Entrekin is a local product who goes to Embry-Riddle. He is 6-2 and registers as a redshirt freshman. Entrekin played high school baseball at Lake Brantley, which is in the Orlando metro area. He appeared in eight games for Embry-Riddle in 2025 and recorded his first collegiate hit against Lynn College. 

 

Kai Lwin: Lwin is another local Orlando player who is a fresh graduate from Bishop Moore Catholic High School with plans to attend Florida Atlantic University. He was traded to the Diamond Dawgs from the Sanford River Rats. Lwin is a six-foot one lefty outfielder who hit .368 with 25 RBIs and 30 runs scored in his senior season. 

 

Alex Espaillat: Espaillat is a rising sophomore who hails from Seminole, FL, and attends Alabama State.. During his freshman campaign, he started 44 games on the infield and hit .331 over 178 at-bats. Alex recorded 11 extra-base hits, including his first collegiate home run. This is his first season in the Florida League. 

 

Alexander Manent: A senior infielder from Saint Peters, Manent is local to Orlando, having attended Bishop Moore Catholic. Manent appeared in 30 games for Saint Peters in 2025, and previously attended Barry University and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. 

 

Joseph Quick: Tanner Quick is a 6-9 right-handed pitcher from Florida Southern. Previously attended the University of North Carolina, and in 2025, with Florida Southern, Quick made two appearances. 

 

Alejandro Simo: Simo is a 5-11 catcher who attends Barry University as a junior. With Barry’s JV team in 2024, Simo started 13 games at catcher and DH. He hit .375 with two home runs and 16 RBIs. Also started 14 games in 2025, scored five runs and worked six walks.

 

Knute Rockey- 6-2 right-handed pitcher who attends Embry-Riddle going into his junior season. He appeared in 5 games in 2025, threw 6.1 innings, and recorded 3 strikeouts. He was a 2022 graduate from Spruce Creek High School in Port Orange, FL. Rockey is also a Diamond Dawg returner. 

 

John Rosario- Rosario is a 5-11 catcher from Staten Island, NY, who is a redshirt junior that attends the University of Fort Lauderdale. In 2025, he started 6 games at catcher, hit one home run, and drove in five runs. 

 

Reilly Kuhar- Kuhar is a 6-3 right-handed pitcher who attends Thomas University. He was acquired via trade from the Orlando Snappers. Threw 47.2 innings in 2025 with a 7.36 ERA and 41 strikeouts. 

 

Joel Collado- Collado, a native of St. Cloud, FL, attended Alabama State for his freshman season before landing at the University of Rhode Island. His first collegiate hit went for a home run in 2024. He is a 6-1 catcher, and is one of the five Diamond Dawgs returning players. 

 

Matthew Demetree- Demetree is a Sanford, FL native who graduated from East River HS. He is a six-foot-two right-handed pitcher and attends Thomas University. In 2025, Demetree pitched in 11 games, recorded 13.2 innings of work, and struck out 19 batters. 

 

Lee-Anthony Santiago- A senior infielder who attends Barry University. Played five games in 2025, hitting .333 with five RBIs. Originally from Riverview, FL, but went to The Stony Brook School in New York.

 

Connor Fosnow- Played in the Florida League in 2023 with the Winter Garden Squeeze. A 6-3 outfielder who attends Florida Gulf Coast and graduated from Lake Brantley High School. Fosnow appeared in two games for FGCU in 2025. Previously attended Indian River State College.

 

Jackson Raper- A right-handed pitcher who attends Georgia Southwestern. Started 12 games in 2025 with a 4-4 record, 5.37 ERA in 58.2 innings. Threw a complete game shutout against USC Beaufort on March 2nd.

 

Daniel Herrera- A 5-8 infielder who attends Barry University as a rising sophomore. Started eight games as a freshman in 2025 and recorded 13 hits in 26 at-bats. Also worked 10 walks, and struck out just four times. 

 

Roberto Odor- Odor is a 5-9 infielder from Saint Leo University. Odor has a solid body of collegiate work over three seasons. He previously attended Polk State College, where he appeared in 54 games as a sophomore and recorded 10 doubles, 14 RBIs, and led the team with 36 walks drawn. In 2025, Odor started 41 games with Saint Leo and posted a .331 average, scored 33 runs, and stole 14 bases. 

 

Canyon Marcewicz- An infielder who attends Florida Southern in Lakeland, FL. The 6-2 sophomore appeared in 14 games in 2025 and recorded three hits in 10 at-bats, including three runs driven in. 

 

Michael Santiago- Santiago is a 5-10 outfielder who is a redshirt sophomore at the University of Fort Lauderdale. 

 

Landon Towns- A 2025 graduate from Lake Highland Prep. who is committed to playing both baseball and football at the Air Force Academy. Towns is a 5-11 catcher who hit .425 with 22 RBIs in his senior season and recorded an impressive .480 caught stealing percentage. Also smashed four home runs in his last season with Lake Highland Prep. 

 

Pierce Glading- Glading is a 6-2 outfielder who has previously attended Polk State College and Valdosta State. Started in 66 of 82 games in the field, and hit .310 with 72 hits, 43 runs, nine doubles, and four home runs across two years. Glading is also a two-way player who logged 12 innings with Polk State. 

 

Tyler Mecchella- Mecchella is a 6-3 left-handed pitcher for the Diamond Dawgs. He appeared in 16 games with Saint Leo this season as a junior and tallied two saves and 44 strikeouts in 47.1 innings. He also played for the Diamond Dawgs last summer. 

 

Kevin Hebert- Hebert is a 5-11 right-handed pitcher who is committed to William Peace, and played for the 2023 Sanford River Rats. Previously played at Limestone, but due to school closure was forced to find a new school. This Diamond Dawg went to Winter Park High School. 

 

Edbarry Guzman- Plays collegiate baseball at Keiser University, and started 36 games last season. He hit three home runs, 18 doubles, and posted a .366 average in 2025. 5-11 first-baseman with over 100 games played over three seasons at Keiser. Member of the Florida League in 2023.

 

Michael Graziano- 6-3 outfielder who previously attended Georgia Tech in 2024 before transferring to Mercer. This season with Mercer he started 24 games, scored 27 runs, and hit six doubles over 88 at-bats. 

 

Joe Belflower - Is a six foot pitcher from Orlando, FL. He has spent his last three collegiate seasons at Illinois Tech and has spent the last two summers playing on the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs. In the summer of 2023, he started two games for the Diamond Dawgs with a total of nine appearances, and struck out 16 batters in 22 innings. In 26.1 innings this year at Illinois Tech, Belflower struck out 20 hitters. He has 31 appearances over three seasons. 

 

Harrison Miller- Is another Winter Park player that is local to Orlando. The 6-2 right-handed pitcher attended high school at The First Academy and currently goes to Saint Leo. Miller appeared in four games as a junior in 2025, and struck out six batters. Prior to Saint Leo, Miller attended Wingate University. 

 

Trey Gooding- 6-4 right-handed pitcher that attends Florida Southern. Spent the 2025 season on the developmental team. 

 

Nick Sakowski- 5-11 freshman left-handed pitcher that attends Florida Southern. Spent the 2025 season on the developmental team. Originally from Columbus, Ohio. 

 

Zack Orloff- Spent the 2023 summer with the Sanford River Rats. Attends Palm Beach Atlantic as a right-handed pitcher. Has appeared in 20 games with PBA over the past two seasons, and has 16 strikeouts in 24 innings.
