Growing One Pitch and One At Bat At a Time
Saturday was a day of contrasts for FVC. The weather was good, the park was ready, and the opposition was in town! As for the baseball, the first game of Saturday's doubleheader wasn't one the players will want to revisit too often: a game that got away. Hey, give Douglas College credit. They came to play, outhitting FV 14-3 and taking advantage of miscues for an 11-2 win. The late game, on the other hand, was always in reach, and with a runner on second in the bottom of the ninth, with one out, was hotly contested right down to the 6-5 final for the Royals.
FVC's next game is in Langley against the Blaze at 6PM at McLeod Ballpark on Wednesday March 30. Our next home game is on Saturday April 1 at noon against TRU.
