Mom and kids, for a day out of the house grab dad and bring him to the ballpark on Sunday afternoon! Dad will enjoy exciting collegiate baseball between the Glacier Pilots and the Mat-Su Miners. Game time is 6 o’clock pm at Mulcahy Stadium.
Fathers were officially honored when President Lyndon Johnson issued a presidential proclamation in 1966 designating the 3rd Sunday in June as Father’s Day – then in 1972, this day became a national holiday when President Richard Nixon signed it into law - 58 years after President Woodrow Wilson made Mother’s Day official in the U.S.
