Prospects Game in LaSalle, Great Success

January 17, 2012

JANUARY 18 – The Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL) once again put on a fantastic Prospects Game for all who came out to watch.

Teammates, family members, friends, scouts and every day fans of the game were treated to a very successful and very competitive hockey match in LaSalle on Monday night.

A very nice pre-game ceremony was held to recognise and pay tribute to the Knobby’s Kids Charity. The proceeds made from the evenings event were donated to Knobby’s Kids, the chosen charity for the fifth annual Prospects Game. Knobby’s Kids Charity is a youth hockey program that provides children from low income families with an opportunity to play hockey. The program outfits children with skates, helmets and other equipment and provides ice time each Sunday morning from November until March at Windsor’s Lanspeary Lions Outdoor Rink in Lanspeary Park. With the help of volunteers, these children learn the basics of hockey and are encouraged to have fun in an enriching pressure free environment.

The very close game was won 9-6 by Team White, which featured players from the Western Conference and the Midwestern Conference. CLICK HERE to see the entire post-game results.

Players of the game were Alex Seguin from the Leamington Flyers who managed to score a goal and an impressive three points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Elmira Sugar Kings forward Will Cook who netted a goal and an assist.
