Braves sign former Top Speed RHP Steven Borkowski
The Atlanta Braves were scouting the GSCBL during a hot summer day when they found RHP Steven Borkowski of Top Speed Baseball. The St. Catherine U. product was putting together arguably the best summer in GSCBL history before the Braves signed him to a Free Agent contract in mid July.
The righty had posted a 5-1 record with 46 strike outs in 42 2.3 innings pitched. He posted a .21 ERA while allowing just 23 hits and 4 runs (1 earned).
Brorkowski is expected to report to A ball, with the Danville Braves.
