In 2015, Renae led the club in batting average, hitting .313 (50-for-160) in 47 games. He tallied 8 doubles, a triple and a homer, and knocked in 28 to lead the club in RBI. Martinez also walked 18 times to lead the club.
Coming out of El-Camino Compton, Martinez proved his value and was signed to play for Oklahoma University following the season. At OU, he hit .323 and was second on the team in hits (62) and home runs (70).
