Hamilton Joes Announce Aaron Brill as Head Coach

The Hamilton Joes are excited to announce the hiring of Aaron Brill as the team’s head coach for the 2025 season.

Brill enters the organization after being the hitting coach and first base coach for the Charleston Dirty Birds of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB) in 2024.  During his time in Charleston, Brill helped lead the Dirty Birds to their first-ever ALPB regular season title and a South Division championship.  Offensively, with Brill leading the way, the Dirty Birds ranked in the league’s top four in runs, hits, home runs, RBI’s, walks, and total bases.

In addition to his coaching experience, Brill also brings in experience as a player.  He played collegiate baseball at Felician University, where he posted a .363 batting average and an OPS just under .950.  Following this, he moved onto professional baseball for six seasons, including a Pacific Association championship in 2018 with the San Rafael Pacifics.

When asked about what drew him to the Hamilton Joes, Brill emphasized the importance of culture and stability, “The Joes’ track record of winning certainly speaks for itself…having such few people come through management of the Joes speaks to a strong and consistent team with a culture of winning and a way to do things,” Brill said.  He now looks to continue that winning legacy, stepping in to the Joes fresh off a 2024 GLSCL Championship.

Director of Baseball Operations, Ryan Finnerty, also expressed the organization's confidence in Brill, stating, “We are so excited to welcome Aaron Brill to Hamilton to lead the Joes this summer. With extensive experience as both a player and coach in professional baseball, Coach Brill brings a ton of energy and a proven ability to get the most out of his players.  We look forward to the positive impact he’ll have on the Joes’ organization and the entire Hamilton community.”

Brill and the Joes will make their season debut on Friday, June 6th against the Grand Lake Mariners.
