Hamilton Red Wings forward Lucas Condotta has been suspended five games by the Ontario Junior Hockey League following Thursday's game in Newmarket.
With nine seconds remaining in the third period of the Wings' 4-1 loss, Condotta was assessed a two minute minor for roughing, a two minute minor for checking from behind, and a game misconduct.
Condotta was playing in his second game with the Wings after being acquired from the Pickering Panthers at the January 10th trade deadline. He will miss Hamilton's games against Whitby, Stouffville, Georgetown, Milton, and Buffalo, and will be eligible to return for the Wings' game February 2 against the Wellington Dukes.
