The Hamilton Red Wings' push to the playoffs will be short two players when it continues on Saturday. The Ontario Junior Hockey League announced Tuesday that it has suspended Red Wings forwards Jeff Joynt and Lucas Condotta.

Lucas Condotta has been suspended for the Wings' next game versus Lindsay. He was assessed a two-minute minor and a 10-minute misconduct for head contact early in the third period of Monday's 8-1 win over the St. Michael's Buzzers. Condotta has been solid for the Wings in his three games since returning from a five-game suspension earlier in the month. In those three games, he picked up five points while playing on a line with Laine McKay and Josh Lafrance. He is eligible to return Monday, February 16, when the Wings host Milton.

Jeff Joynt will miss the next two games, after receiving a two-minute minor and a game misconduct for checking from behind early in the third period on Monday. It is his third suspension of the season. He was previously suspended for two games in December and one game in November, both for checking from behind. Joynt has 16 points in 45 games this season with the Wings. He is eligible to return Tuesday, February 17, when Hamilton hosts Wellington for a rescheduled make-up game.
