South Shore’s Lavoie Named 2024 HCBL Reliever of the Year

KJ Lavoie (St. Rose) of the South Shore Clippers was named the 2024 HCBL Reliever of the Year. Lavoie appeared in 12 games for South Shore throughout the 2024 HCBL season where he pitched 20 innings.

 

Lavoie led all HCBL relief pitchers in saves with six and had an ERA of 1.35 with 14 strikeouts and eight walks.

 

Lavoie was selected as an HCBL All-Star where he pitched a scoreless inning at the HCBL All-Star Game in Sag Harbor on July 13th.

 

Lavoie is the fourth Clippers/Road Warriors pitcher named HCBL Reliever of the Year. Shane McDonald (Southern New Hampshire) won the award in 2017 while Matt Paghidas (SUNY Maritime) took Reliever of the Year honors in 2018. Danny Gargano (Queens) in 2022 was the most recent Clipper before Lavoie to win the award.
