SAG HARBOR 4, WESTHAMPTON 3
Justin Montemayor (Houston) ripped a two-out, two-run single in the top of the ninth inning to give Sag Harbor the lead, and closer Jacob Bodner (Xavier) worked around an unearned run in the bottom half of the frame to close the game out.

The Whalers capitalized on an infield error earlier in the inning that tied up the contest. Montemayor led the attack with three hits, while Scott Hagan (Mercy) had a pair of hits. On the mound, Dan Wertz (Sacred Heart) picked up the victory after 1 1/3 innings of the pen.

Westhampton had hoped to treat its home crowd to a win but left runners at the corners in the ninth. Jake Rogers (Johns Hopkins) chipped in with two hits and two RBI.

CENTER MORICHES 3, SHELTER ISLAND 2
The Battlecats kept their perfect record intact as Matt Hinchy (Albany) brought home Dan Roland (St. John’s) with a walkoff sacrifice fly against Shelter Island.

Brett Byrum (Presbyterian) picked up the win by recording the final out of the top of the ninth. Three of Center Moriches’ six hits came off the bat of Chris Gili (Pace), two of which were doubles.

Shelter Island had drawn even at 2-2 when Joe Burns (St. John’s) hit a sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning. The Buck attack was paced by Cody Howard (UNLV) and Justin Brock (Franklin Pierce), each of whom had a pair of hits.

NORTH FORK 6, RIVERHEAD 3
Mike Hayden (Saint Anselm) belted the Ospreys’ first home run of the summer season, a two-run shot in the sixth that added insurance in North Fork’s triumph over Riverhead.

In addition to the Hayden blast, Austin Miller (Butler) went 3 for 3 at the plate, while Eric Solberg (Wisconsin Milwaukee) drove in a pair of runs. It was plenty of support for starter Anthony Rosati (St. John’s), who gave up one run over six innings to record the win.

Riverhead was led by Jake Farr (Walters State), who went 3 for 3 with a pair of walks. The Tomcats tried to mount a comeback against the Osprey bullpen, cutting the deficit to three on an RBI single by Ryan Brosseau (Oakland) and infield error but David Deliz (Wright State) stranded runners at second and third.
