The Hawkesbury Hawks Jr A Hockey Club is pleased to announce they have come to terms with 2012-13 CCHL Coach of the Year Rick Dorval.

Rick will be the new Associate Head Coach along with Shawn Anderson. Hamish Cunning will remain on the staff as Assistant Coach. Ian Henderson will remain as  General Manager.

"It’s with great pleasure that I will be joining the Hawks organization.  Growing up the Hawks were one of the elite organizations of this league and myself along with the rest of the staff see the potential in making it happen again for our fans.   I’d like to thank the Hawks ownership for this great opportunity and I am already looking forward to getting started." said Dorval earlier today.

The Hawks continue to strengthen the club with the addition of Rick as well as former Jr Sens Racine, Crete and Rheaume. The future got deeper this week with Bantam Protects Franche and Wells and will continue to grow at the end of the month at the CCHL Draft.

"I think we just strengthened our team a great amount" said Hawks GM Ian Henderson. " In adding Rick we bring a new dynamic to the Hawks and proven winner to the team. He's a great recruiter and very passionate about the game"

Dorval lead the Ottawa Jr Sens to a Regular Season Championship in 2012-13 and a 3rd place overall finish and a trip to the Semi Finals this year. He was the last coach to bring the Gloucester Rangers to the Playoffs as well.
