It was Halton Hills Minor Lacrosse Family Fun Night as the Jr. B Bulldogs kicked off the home portion of their 2015 schedule with a 21-4 win over the Orillia Kings on Saturday night at Alcott Arena.

The ‘Dogs generated a high volume of shots in the early going, but were unable to get the ball to drop, scoring just twice in the first 19 minutes of the first period.  With the score 2-1, the ‘Dogs scored a pair of goals in the final 49 seconds of the period, just 23 seconds apart to lead 4-1 after the first period.

Campbell Parker scored just 21 seconds into the second period and Halton Hills was off to the races.  In total, the home side scored 11 times in the second period while surrendering just 3 goals in the frame.  Jesse Oliver scored with just a second left in the period to cap the offensive outburst and give Halton Hills a 15-4 lead heading to the final 20 minutes.

The third period was more of the same.  The ‘Dogs blanked Orillia in the third period and held the Kings off the scoresheet for 22:21 overall when things were said and done.  Another 6 Bulldog tallies gave the Halton Hills fans even more to cheer about as their beloved Doggies came out on top.

Connor Brown played his first game with the ‘Dogs since 2013 and picked up right where he left off.  Brown figured in on each of the first six Halton Hills goals and finished the night with a game-high 7 goals and 6 assists for 13 points.
