Levick called to Medaille College HOF
Current West Durham Ironheads coach Brock Levick is earning the highest honour from his alma mater next month as he will be inducted into the Medaille College Hall Sports of Fame.
Levick, a 2014 graduate, is the most accomplished player in school history and holds almost every single offensive record. The Newmarket, ON sits first in points, points per game, goals, goals per game, shots attempted, shots on goal and shots on goal per game. Levick tallied 228 goals and 66 assists for 294 points in 57 career NCAA games.
In his freshman season, Levick made his presence felt scoring 63 goals and led the entire nation in goals per game at 4.20. Levick would stay atop the NCAA in goals per game for the next two years, scoring 61 goals in 16 games (3.81) in 2012 and 61 goals in 14 games (4.36) in 2013.
Currently, Levick sits 20th in the NCAA in points per game with 5.16, fourth in goals per game with 4.00 and 11th in goals with 228. Levick was named to a NEAC All-Conference team all four years, including First Team selections from 2012-2014. He also garnered two NEAC Offensive Player of the Year Awards in 2012 and 2014.
"To be honest I was shocked when I received the call, I even wondered if it was an old teammate prank calling me," Levick joked when being asked about his initial reaction to selection.
"I am extremely honored to be selected in the 2019 class for the Hall of Fame. I never would have been able to achieve what I did without my teammates and coaching staff, so I would like to thank them for making this possible."
The ceremony will be held on February 21st in Buffalo, NY.
