Ironheads Return to Play Plan
The West Durham Ironheads are pleased to announce our return to play will begin starting next on Wednesday, June 30th at the fields located just behind Pickering Recreation Centre. In keeping with provincial heath guidelines, we are able to practice without contact with up to 10 players and two coaches at a time. Accordingly, we will run two sessions at 6:30-7:30 & 7:30-8:30. Each session will have two groups of 10 beginning this Wednesday with the hopes of having two showcase tournaments in August. Pursuant to provincial health guidelines, we ask that each player brings a mask and their own water bottle to maintain the necessary health protocols. A helmet, gloves and stick (with the exceptions of goalies) are the only pieces of equipment required for each run as there will be no contact drills. Per the Ontario Lacrosse Association, players are required to pay a one-time fee of $20 which will cover each run and any potential tournaments. For those intending to participate in next week’s run, please email General Manager Ron Reed at rreed@trebnet.com and select which time you’d like to attend. We will be filling each session on a first come first serve basis so be sure to reach out with your desired session. We are excited to FINALLY return to the floor and can’t wait to see you all!
