The game itself featured a wide array of Varsity talent as 23 out of the 24 invited players showed up to the game. Several players scored at least one goal, and multiple players put up two points or more. All goaltenders were excellent and all made impressive saves that brought cheers from both sides. As usual the game went down to the wire as the Blue / Green team won 10-9 in the final minutes.

Junior Varsity:

Middle Country Cougars 6 – Carle Place Cyclones 0: An impressive shutout by Vinny Nullet in a twenty-two save performance for the Cougar goalie. Rocco Cuomo and Ryan Colapinto had two points each in the win. The win puts them three points out of first place.

East End Warriors 4 – Roslyn Bulldogs 1: John Izzo turned aside twenty-two out of twenty-three shots and Bass, Koontz, Deluca and Rhein all contributed a goal each. The top of the JV standings is beginning to look crowded.

Roslyn Bulldogs 4 – Farmingdale Dalers 0:  Anthony Raspantini stood tall with some excellent saves for Roslyn as he out-dueled Michael Holding in a great game. Matt Stone had two goals, and Zach Zegarek’s excellent assist sealed the game.

East End Warriors 11 – Deer Park Falcons 7: Jake Cassidy and Nick Romangolo staked East End to a huge lead, but Deer Park stormed back and fell just short in the second half. Goals from Robert Chester, Tyler Koss, Lucas Dedora and Ethan Blansky put the game within reach for Deer Park.

Varsity:

Smithtown Bulls 7 – Half Hollow Hills Thundercolts 6: A great Varsity game featuring two very talented teams did not disappoint. Stephen Digovanna’s second goal of the first half gave Smithtown a 5-4 lead, but Hills worked their way back and tied the game late thanks to Austin Meyers. Matt Hawkins was able to win the game for the Bulls with 1:26 remaining to extend the Bulls win streak to 8.

Syosset Braves 6 – Roslyn Bulldogs 5 (OT): An interesting game to say the least saw plenty of lead changes, good saves and excellent plays. Jake Litvack’s third goal of the game gave Roslyn a late lead, but the Braves tied the game late thanks to Adam Rosenblatt and were able to win the game in overtime with a game winner from Robert Chester.

Syosset Braves 6 – Connetquot Thunderbirds 5: Shaun Hill had three goals for Connetquot, and Logan Hays tied the game late, but Syosset was able to win their second game of the weekend thanks to some impressive team play and Zach Weinstein’s game winning goal with under thirty seconds to play.
