Friday 2/18

JV:

Middle Country 9 -  Syosset 1: Anthony Gomez stepped into goal for Syosset and made some fantastic saves, but the Cougars came to play as usual. Mike Taliercio had three goals, and multiple players had several assists.

Varsity:

Islip 7 - Middle Country 4: Islip snapped a two game losing streak by beating one of the Varsity frontrunners. Tied 3-3 after the first half, Luke Ferazi broke the tie in the beginning of the second half and never looked back as Islip played a complete game from start to finish. Sam Endselon stepped into goal admirably for Islip, and Andrew Worst scored four goals in the win for Islip.

Sunday 2/27

JV:

Middle Country Cougars 10 - Syosset Braves 4: Syosset goalie Anthony Gomez stood on his head keeping the Braves in this one, but Middle Country had four players (Taliercio, Colapinto, Kirby and Campo) with at least two goals each. Zach Kaufman had two goals for Syosset, and Logan Horowitz and Shane Russo added a goal each.

Roslyn Bulldogs 10 - Farmingdale Dalers 2: Multiple players picked up assists in this one (Levine, Fischer, Murad and Finklestein). Jared Sanders and Noah Janowitz added two goals each for Roslyn.

Varsity:

Middle Country Cougars  5 - East End Warriors 2: East End jumped out to an early goal, but four straight Middle Country goals showcased their play-making and finishing abilities. Goaltenders John Izzo (East End) and Vinny Nullet (Middle Country) combined for 47 saves, and Nullet was especially busy in the second half as the Warriors made a late game push. A win next weekend and / or a Roslyn loss clinches the top seed for the Cougars.

Roslyn Bulldogs 8 - Carle Place Cyclones 4: Ethan Kessler staked Roslyn to an early 3-0 lead, but a few great plays led to Carle Place tying the game early in the second thanks to James Teadore’s second of the game. Kessler then broke a 3-3 tie in the middle of the second half, and Ayden Levy helped seal with the win for Roslyn with two goals.
