Opening Week
SHREWSBURY, Mass. - The inaugural season in the Independent Travel Baseball League opens up this week. The first game of league play is June 7th in the 18U Division as Zorian Baseball takes on the Dream Bat Bombers Black in Shrewsbury. The first league game for the 16U Division is Saturday, June 11th as the Dream Bat Bombers Red travel to Suffield Academy in a tilt against the hosts, All-Pro Rebels.
The Independent Travel Baseball League consists of five 18U teams and four 16U teams spread across New England. The ITBL commissioner is Tim Mayo whom created the league in 2016 for non-affiliated travel programs in New England. On July 30th, the ITBL will crown the inaugural champions in the 16U and 18U Divisions at Western New England University.
