NBC World Series: Aviators fall to Foresters
Hutchinson, Kan. -- The Haysville Aviators were tripped up by a score of 6-0 to the Santa Barbara (Calif.) Foresters at the NBC World Series last night (July 29) at Hobart-Detter Field in Hutchinson, Kan.
It was a scoreless tie until an RBI single from Hunter Ensley and an RBI double by Nate Rombach put the Foresters on top in the third.
The Foresters added another run in the fourth and then tacked on single tallies in each of the seventh, eighth and ninth frames.
Ensley paced the Foresters with three hits and drove in a pair of runs.
Graham Osman started and blanked the Aviators for 5.1 innings and struck out six in a winning effort for Santa Barbara.
The Aviators are next in action tomorrow (July 31) at noon vs. the Denver (Colo.) Cougars.
