Asbury Jukes uses shootout to best Rebels, 5-4

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Asbury Jukes defeated Rebels in a shootout 5-4.

The two teams needed six turns to complete the shootout.

Tj Murphy had two goals to lead Asbury Jukes to victory. Murphy's tallies came at 2:10 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Asbury Jukes and 10:06 into the third to make the score 4-4.

Asbury Jukes' offense rang up 47 shots on Rebels' net.

Others who scored for Asbury Jukes included Alex Merry and Mike Kronfeld, who each put in one.

Rebels kept Asbury Jukes' goalie busy throughout the game, and Jack Gregory made 45 saves on 49 shots.

Rebels was helped by Jack Gabuzda, who racked up one goal. Gabuzda scored 10:06 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Rebels. Rebels also had goals scored by John Monticello, Christian Serhus, and James Morro, who scored one goal each.

Asbury Jukes ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play. Steve Schaffer made 42 saves for Rebels on 46 shots. Rebels finished the contest with no penalties and went 0-for-0 with the man advantage.
