BRUINS EDGE OUT EAGLES
Eagles emerged from the bear den with a loss even though they outshot the Bruins 44 to 33. Bruins Michael Rennie scored the sole goal to put his team on the board. Eagles were able to capitalize on a power play midway through the second when Greg Thomas scored, assisted by Ryan Mahabir and Jordan Nesbitt. Eagles opened the third period down a man and it cost them as Bruins' Robert Freckelton scored only 13 seconds into the frame to put Bruins in lead. A second Bruins goal by Kieran Beaudoin ten minutes later put Uxbridge ahead 3-1. Eagles Assistant Captain Jordan Neuman (Greg Thomas, Cody Kean) scored on the power play to bring the Eagles win one but the team was unable to force overtime. Eagles Goalie Mark Robb stopped 30 shots wheraeas Bruins goalie Ryan McConkey stopped 42 of 44 shots.
