In the East Conference, the Orr Division will start playoffs tonight with the Qualifying Round between Clarington and Port Perry. Winner of best of 3 will move on to play #1 seed Uxbridge in semi-finals. Other matchup is Nos. 2 & 3 ranked teams, North Kawartha vs Lakefield. There are four games to go in regular season play in the Tod Division. Top four teams playoff. Napanee, with a 15 point lead, will finish first. Amherstview and Picton will advance. Port Hope must lose both their games and Gananoque win theirs to tie for fourth place and then it's off to the rule book to see who advances.

In the Carruthers Division, Schomberg, Huntsville and Midland are one game away from elimination by Stayner, Alliston and Caledon. Orillia is up 2-1 in their series against Penetang. In the Pollock Division, Mount Forest has the bye. Wingham leads their series with Goderich, 3-1. Both Mitchell and Hanover must win to stay alive in their series vs Kincardine and Walkerton.

In the Stobbs Division, Lakeshore, Dresden and Amherstburg ended the season for Wheatley, Blenheim and Mooretown. Undefeated, Essex can advance to semifinals with a win tonight over Petrolia. In the Yeck Division, Exeter and Thamesford routed Aylmer and North Middlesex. Dorchester and Lambeth need one win to eliminate Mr. Brydges and Lucan.

In the Doherty Division, Tavistock vanquished Deli in four straight. Woodstock, Ayr and Norwich are all one game away from elimination by New Hamburg, Wellesley and Paris. In the Bloomfield Division, Hagersville routed Port Dover. Hespeler and Dunnsville must win their next games to survive against Grimsby and Glanbrook. Hamilton and Niagara are tied 2-2 in their series.

Glanbrook lost to Lakefield in 2018 Schmaltz Cup provincial finals. Is 2019 their year? Or will another team from the East be the spoiler? Follow the action as one team emerges victorious in the biggest Junior league in Canada: www.pointstreaksites.com/view/pjhl/playoffs.
