LEPIZZERA GETS A SHUT OUT!
Last week the Eagles lost in regulation play for the first time since 17th. September at the hands of Little Britain Merchants. Eagles returned to Little Britain tonight looking for redemption and got it. Final score: Eagles 1 Merchants
Merchants played the "trap" and keep the scoring down. The sole goal of the game was scored one minute into the second frame by Brent Lace (Mitchell Doyle). Eagles goaltender Alex Lepizzera was perfect in net, stopping 16 shots for the shutout. Merchants' Oliver Webster was outstanding in net stopping 34 of 35 shots. Power plays for both teams were 0 - 5.
Eagles play tomorrow night in Amherstview.
