Dundas downs Grimsby, 5-2

Chris Cudek grabbed two points to lead the Dundas Blues to a 5-2 victory over the Grimsby Peach Kings.

Dundas kept Grimsby's goalie busy throughout the game, and Marcus Hlywka made 42 saves on 47 shots.

Dundas additionally got points from Ray Thompson, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Dundas included Dan Pelosini, Josh Morgan, and Cam McConnell, who scored one goal each. More assists for Dundas came via Liam Buckley, who had two and Bryce Robertson, Mitch Moriarity, Connor King, Domenic Procopio, and Andrew Albano, who contributed one each.

The Peach Kings' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Dundas power plays. Grimsby did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Peach Kings average 4.4 goals per game.

Grimsby was led by Matthew Jambrosich, who had one goal and one assist. Jambrosich scored 2:03 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Brady Cranwell assisted on the tally. Grimsby also got a goal from Trevor McEneny as well. In addition, Grimsby received assists from Joshua Celebre and Kyle Kozielski, who each chipped in one.

The Blues' Albano stopped 26 shots out of the 28 that he faced. Dundas incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Peach Kings incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
