Grimsby downs Dundas in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Brady Cranwell gave the Grimsby Peach Kings a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Dundas Blues when he scored 3:27 into the extra period.

Brennan Smith had a great game for Grimsby, netting two goals. Smith found the back of the net 14:12 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while 11:03 into the second to make the score 3-1 Grimsby.

Dundas was unable to stop the Peach Kings from sending pucks towards the net, and Grimsby eventually piled up 48 shots on goal.

Grimsby additionally got points from Matthew Jambrosich, who also racked up one goal and one assist. In addition, Grimsby received assists from Dillon Cipretti, Aiden McCreadie, and Joshua Kozielski, who contributed one each.

The Blues excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Dundas' offense rang up 34 shots on the Peach Kings' net. The Blues' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Dundas was helped by Liam Buckley, who registered one goal. Buckley scored 16 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Dundas. Ray Thompson assisted on the tally. Others who scored for Dundas included Bryce Robertson and Jamison Buck, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Dundas were Quinn Sallows, Domenic Procopio, and Chris Cudek, who each chipped in one.

Jeremy Currie recorded 31 saves for Grimsby. The Peach Kings incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Blues' Andrew Albano stopped 44 shots out of the 48 that he faced. Dundas incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
