Ann Arbor, MI - The Titans are closing in on what they hope will be a U16 Championship at the NAPHL Championship Series in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  After two days of play, the Titans sit in first place in Pool B with a 2-0-1 record, tied with the California Titans, but ahead on the tiebreaker with the Titans.

In Game 1, the Titans defeated HC Dallas, 4-0.  A tight game most of the way, the Titans pulled away late with 3 quick goals after only leading 1-0 through the first 44 minutes of hockey.

In Game 2, the Titans went up 5-2 and then had to withstand a furious rally from the California Titans, who ended up tying the game late on a 5-on-3 power play at 5, before prevailing in a shootout to take an important two points to one point from California.

In Game 3, the Titans fired pucks from every corner, but couldn't solve the netminder of the Washington Little Capitals, as he stymied 39 shots on net, as the Titans suffered a 2-1 shootout loss after outshooting Washington 40-26.  The Titans still secured one point.

Today's matchup features the TItans against the WBS Jr Knights at 12:30pm, followed up by a potential trip to the NAPHL Semi-Finals at 6:30pm or 6:45pm.  If you would like to tune in, all games are available on Fast Hockey's website at http://www.fasthockey.com.
