Victoria Premier Bantam Eagles Remain Perfect at the Western Canadian Championship
The Victoria Premier Bantam Eagles are 3-0 after a 6-0 victory over Team Saskatchewan today in Kamloops. Carlin Dick, an Eagle pick-up from Abbotsford, pitched a 3-hit shutout and drove in 3 runs as the Eagles cruised to their third victory of the tournament. Carlin Dick was awarded the game MVP award. Dick was aided by a stingy Eagles defence that was extremely sharp, committing no errors. Offensively, Alex Baan-Meiklejohn continued his strong presence at the plate, going 2-3 and scoring 3 runs. Noah Takas and Dom Hambley provided extra support with a RBI each. The Eagles next game is Saturday against Kamloops, the tournament host.
