The Orillia Terriers are ready for their busiest week of the 2019 PJHL playoffs with 4 games scheduled over the next 5 days.

The Terriers kick off Week 2 of the playoffs on Friday night in Penetang for game 4 of the best of 7 series, Puck drop set for 8:00 PM. The busy streak continues Saturday night when the series shifts back to Rotary Place with the puck dropping at 7:30 PM. Game 6 is back in Penetang Sunday evening with the puck drop set for 6:30. Game 7 if needed will be back at Rotary on Tuesday February 19th at 7:40 PM.

The series began last week in Penetang with game 1 definitely setting the tone for a hard fought series. The Orillia Terriers stormed out to a 4-1 lead led by Kyle Heitzner (2 Goals) , Will Prentice (1 Goal and 2 Assists) and Calan Tanzi-Foshay (3 Assists) but the home side did not quit. Penetang stormed back picking up 3 unanswered goals to force Overtime. With just under 5 minutes to go in the first Overtime it was Terriers  #12 Matthew Priest finding a hole under goaltender Ruan Badenhorst to win game # 1.

Game 2 saw Penetang quickly skate to a 3-0 lead heading into the final 20 minutes. This time it was the Terriers storming back, in just under 3 minutes Josh Brown, Kyle Heitzner and Owen King found the back of the net to tie the game at 3. An unlucky bounce for the Kings would put them up 4-3 before adding another to go up 2. Heitzner would put the Terriers within one but that’s the closest they got. Penetang would find the empty net twice to take game # 2 7-4.

The series then shifted to Orillia on Saturday night. Kyle Heitzner got things going early in his first career home game when he potted his 5th of the playoffs. Kobe Roe would then steal the show as he picked up a hat-trick as the Terriers took down the kings 4-2 in game # 3 4-2.

Game # 4 of the series was scheduled for this past Tuesday but due to inclement weather the game was cancelled.

Game 4 will now be played tomorrow night at the Penetang Memorial Centre before things come back to Rotary Place on Saturday for game # 5. The team finish the weekend for game 6 on Sunday at the Penetang Memorial Centre.

Game 7 if necessary will now be held on Tuesday February 19th with the puck drop set for 7:30 PM
