Delano, MN - Adam Nichols kept the Edina Post 471 off the board during his six innings of work and the Waconia Post 150 Wildcats (beat Edina Post 471, 1-0.
Nichols allowed three hits, no walks and struck out none.
The loss elimnated Edina from the state tourament and kept Waconia alive who will open play on Saturday morning at 9am against the loser of Champlin and Forest Lake. It has been an impressive defensive showing for Waconia who has allowed just 1 run against in 25 innings worth of work on day one. Waconia lost a heartbreaker 1-0 to the Rochester Patriots in 16 innings.
