Schneider's single propels the Wayzata Post 118 past the Little Falls Flyers Post 46, 8-6
Delano, MN - Three first-inning runs helped the Wayzata Post 118 to an 8-6 win over the Little Falls Flyers Post 46 at Delano Municipal Baseball Park on Sunday.
The Wayzata Post 118 scored in the first on a single by Griffin Schneider, , and an RBI single by Cody Goedderz.
Schneider was hot from the plate for the Wayzata Post 118. Schneider went 3-4 and scored three runs.
Daniel Marod racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Little Falls Flyers Post 46. He homered in the seventh inning.
Jarett Briol allowed six runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory, his first of the season. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered six hits.
Christopher Reller ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss.. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked three and struck out none.
Wayzata plays at 4pm against the winner of Maple Grove and Hamline Purple while Little Falls we elimanated from the tourament after a solid weekend of play.
