The Lemay Governors offense too much for the St. Charles Captains in 11-2 rout

The Lemay Governors (17-5) jumped out to an early lead on the St. Charles Captains (9-13) and captured an 11-2 victory on Sunday at Principia College Field.

Six runs in the first three innings allowed the Governors to put the game away early.

An RBI single by Alex Ludwick, an RBI double by Konrad Kemper, an error, an RBI single by Tyler Bracht, and an RBI single by Bracht during the first inning supplied the early offense for the Governors.

 

 

Smith Kemper led the Governors' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the second inning.

 

 

Brett Lange pitched lights out for the Governors. The Captains managed just one hit off of the the Governors' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out seven during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

 

Chase Feucht got the win, running his season record to 2-2. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered five hits.

Wes Davis (1-4) took the loss for the Captains. He allowed six runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out none.
