Public Address from Commissioner Jared Richardson
Dear LCBL Community,
Today, I'd like to take the opportunity to thank everyone that contributed to the LCBL this past year. Your effort(s) did not go unnoticed. I would like to thank the Athletic Directors, Field/Facility Supervisors, Coaches, Umpiring Crews and Graduate Assistants. You all have helped tremendously in providing our players with the facilities and game management that is expected at this level of competition.
I would also like to express the immense respect and gratitude I have for each coach that participated i n the league this season. I can assure you, without any doubt, that each coach in the LCBL has made lasting impressions on their players. The tireless work and dedication of these coaches does not go unnoticed or unappreciated. Spending hours in the hot and humid St. Louis summer is no easy job, but it is one that our LCBL coaches take pride in. Each coach has shown a passion for sharing their knowledge of the game while providing leadership and guidance to the inquisitive collegiate athletes we once were. We, at the LCBL, couldn’t have asked for a better group of gentlemen to represent our teams, and you men all surpassed these standards.
We also were lucky enough to have a world class group of interns this summer. I thank each one of you for doing everything asked of you and picking up slack wherever needed. Your efforts to score LCBL games, deliver equipment, run errands, update social media, and many of the other random tasks asked of you was a driving force behind the success of the 2016 Lewis and Clark Baseball League Season.
Lastly, without our athletes we wouldn't be able to have the fun and success we do each summer. You all play a huge role in the continued growth of this league. Without our players; the fields, coaches, and office work wouldn’t mean a thing. So thank you, each and every one of you, for busting your behinds this summer for the game we all love. Thank you for including us in your growth as a college baseball player. I strongly believe we have a solid foundation heading into our fourth off-season. I look forward to seeing you all back out on the diamond next season as more polished collegiate ball players and I wish you all the best of luck in your upcoming seasons!
Without you all, the LCBL would cease to exist. Thanks again for everyone that helped and contributed to making this summer great!
Sincerely,
Jared Richardson
Commissioner of LCBL
