In Loving Memory of Robert Wilson
We regret to inform the Little League world that Robert (Bob) Wilson has passed away Sunday evening.
Bob informed us months ago of the battle he was facing with his health. He knew he only had a matter of time to live, but he didn't want to sit around and wait for it to happen. Bob spent the last months of his life working hard on projects, spending time with his family, and giving back to the Little League community the way he always had. Seeing this drive that Bob was showing, we decided to celebrate with him along the way. In his last few months, we saw another Tball on the Hill come to life with seeing Ontario vs Quebec for the first time. We also got to interview him and hear a bit about his history. Speaking of history, he also helped us with the initial idea of The Vault which will be launched soon. But most importantly, we got to see Bob being honoured with many deserving awards. Sadly, he was not able to make it to one more, which would have seen him get the Order of Ottawa on Wednesday night.
Bob was a truly amazing human. The void he leaves cannot be filled. However the legacy that Bob left is something of legend and we cannot thank him and his family enough. Enjoy the game up in the sky Bob!
