The Monkey Sports Bombers Player of the Month - November
The Monkey Sports Bombers Player of the Month for November is forward #26, Anton Bowallius. The nineteen year-old hails from Trollhättan, Sweden. He is in his first season with the Bombers, after a stellar career with Trollhättans HC, on both their junior and senior teams. In the four seasons prior to his WSHL debut, Bowallius racked up 269 points. In 2014-2015 he led all of Sweden in scoring at the J20 Division 1 level. As of today, Bowallius has jumped up the WSHL Scoring Leaders list, all the way to 9th, with 41 points.
In what is the least active month of the season for Long Beach, Bowallius led the Bombers offensive output as the team earned a 5-0 record in November. The Bombers played all five games on the road, with division wins over the San Diego Sabers, Ontario Avalanche, and Arizona Hawks. Long Beach scored a total of 47 goals during the stretch, allowing just 9. Anton had 6 of those goals, and added a whopping 11 assists, for a total of 17 points in just 5 games played. He is currently on a nine-game point streak, with eight of those performances being a multiple-point effort. His 6-point night on November 18 in Arizona is tied for the Bombers single-game record, this season.

He can see the game as if he is playing chess, often several moves ahead of his opponents. Ever since he started playing alongside Robert Roslund and Roman Serafimovich, that pair has scored 23 goals in 9 games. They combined for 8 goals in the first 10 games. That’s no coincidence. Anton is the set-up man on his line, as well as on our power play, where he leads the team with 8 power play assists. I think he had an adjustment period, with the speed and physicality, and he is really hitting his stride now. If a player is struggling to score, a few shifts with Anton could very well be the cure.”
