TIER II NATIONAL YOUTH HOCKEY ALLIANCE 15-16 SEASON
The Long Island Gulls are pleased to announce their continued relationship with the National Youth Hockey Alliance for the 2015-2016 season.
The National Youth Hockey Alliance is a Tier II organization competing at Mites-Midgets.
The Gulls will be participating at the Squirt, PeeWee and Bantam levels. NYHA will consist of teams from Long Island, Connecticut and New Jersey.
These Long Island Gulls teams will be participating in the NYHA and the LIAHL with a combined 30+ game schedule. It is our expectation that these Long Island Gulls teams will be competitive Tier II (AA) quality teams. We anticipate fielding a combined team at the Bantam level (01 and 02 birth years) and individual birth year teams at the younger levels. The teams participating in the NYHA/LIAHL schedule will have 2 practices per week inclusive of a skill session 1x per week in addition to off-ice training at Institute3E & chalk-talk/video classes.
Tryouts for all of these Gulls teams will begin in March for Squirts and Pee Wees and in April for Bantams. A full slate of coaches and the dates/times for the tryouts will be announced shortly.
