The Anchorage Bucs take out the Matsu Miners with help from Homza, 5-0
Willy Homza knocked in three runs as the Anchorage Bucs (16-16) took home a 5-0 victory over the Matsu Miners (19-13) in seven innings at Mulcahy Stadium on Saturday.
He homered in the fourth inning.The Matsu Miners had no answer for Michael Flynn, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Matsu Miners managed just one hit off of Flynn, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his three innings of work.
Gage OBrien ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked five, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
