The Peninsula Oilers make the most of 5 hits in 4-2 victory over the Anchorage Bucs

The Peninsula Oilers (19-18) and the Anchorage Bucs (16-17) both had scoring chances on Monday, but it was the Peninsula Oilers that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 4-2 win at Mulcahy Stadium.

Trey Dawson got on base three times in the game for the Peninsula Oilers. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He homered in the first inning.

Tyler Shumpert got the win, running his season record to 1-2. He allowed two runs over seven innings. Shumpert struck out three, walked three and gave up seven hits.

Will Neely was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked five, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
