Player of the Week: Mustafa Elsadig

This week’s most recognized player goes out to Mustafa Elsadig from the Huskies, who had an incredible 

win against Ssauga Elite this past weekend. Elsadig was on fire on the court on both ends, playing 

excellent defense, and putting up a game-high 26 points on 10-of-17 shooting.

Elsadig and the Huskies were coming off a 2-game losing streak, but that did not seem to faze them; if 

anything, it kicked their determination for a win up a notch. Elsadig led the team to a highly entertaining 

victory, and managed to steal the show not only with his big stats, but with a huge one-handed dunk (number 1 play on our plays of the week)  

that he threw down in the second period, after which Huskies led by 15! He was able to get past his man 

in isolation, and penetrate the paint for the slam. 

Elsadig has played excellent basketball in all 3 games so far, averaging 16 points per game, while 

shooting over 50% from the field. Continued effort at this skill-level will surely help him lift his team high 

in the league’s standings.
