Player of the Week: Tamoy Lewis
Although it’s only the 3rd time being awarded this season, Tamoy Lewis of Peak Canada, has already
managed to grab the player of the week title for the second time. This superstar never fails to put on a
show when he’s on the court, and continues to put up big numbers. This past weekend, Peak played
against Ssauga Elite, and won with a blowout 28 points. Lewis had a game-high score (which was also
the highest score of the day) of 26 points on an impressive 9-of-13 shooting from the field. He also led
the game in assists and steals, finishing with 4 and 3 respectively. It does help that he has a great team
behind him, and it shouldn’t be a surprise if Peak make it far this season.
Lewis has shown over the past month that he does not just have a “good game”, but that he is
consistent week after week. This is manifested in his averages so far: 25.8 points per game on 66%
shooting, 4 assists, and 2.5 steals (he leads the league in points scored and assists per game) #HeCanPlay
