Milton Menace Preview: Menace at Oakville Blades - January 20, 2023
Menace Analyst - Mikayla Guarasci
The Milton Menace are heading down the road to take on the Oakville Blades at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex on Friday night.
This game will be Milton’s first road game of 2023 and the first of three in a row away from Milton Memorial Arena. The Menace will look to get back in the win column after Tuesday’s tough 3-1 loss to Markham. The loss brought Milton’s regular season record to 23-11-1-2.
The teams last met on December 9th, when the Menace won 3-2 on home ice. Friday’s game is the fourth of five regular-season meetings between the two teams and is the third and final time they will meet on Blades’ home ice. Milton currently leads 3-0 in the season series against Oakville.
Keep your eye on Aidan Puley, who is currently riding a three-game goal-scoring streak. The 2004-born forward has scored four goals in the first three games of 2023. Puley has 11 goals, and four assists for 15 points in 19 games played this season.
The Blades come into this game off a two-overtime win in Stouffville and will be looking to build on it. Their regular season record is 11-24-1-1, and they currently sit ninth in the North/West Conference. The Menace sit fourth in the same conference, just two points ahead of Pickering, the next closet team.
Friday’s puck drop is at 7:00 pm in Oakville, and the game will be available to stream on HockeyTV
