MINOT, N.D. -- Adding talent, specifically Junior A talent from Canada is extremely competitive. Players have many different options both in Canada and the United States. This was probably no more true, than for Landyn Cochrane from the Virden Oil Capitals. The Russell, Manitoba product had many schools interested in him, but the playmaking forward has chosen to join the Minot State Beavers this upcoming season.

"We are very excited to add Landyn to our lineup next season." Said Head Coach Wade Regier. "He is a dynamic, play making forward, who has a great hockey sense. His ability to read the ice, make decisions on the fly is his biggest asset. He is a player who has played in some very big games last season, as part of Virden's historic playoff run. We look forward to adding his experience during that run into our locker room."

Cochrane, a forward with the Virden Oil Captals netted over a point a game this past season with 14 goals, 25 assists for 39 points in 34 games played. He becomes the 9th recruit this off season. You can see the complete list here
